Adrian Lim

Adrian trained in Radiology at the Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals, London from 1997-2002 and obtained a doctorate in the utility of microbubble ultrasound and use of MR spectroscopy. He was appointed a Consultant Radiologist in the same departments in 2003 and simultaneously held an honorary Senior Lecturer’s position at Imperial College London.

In 2010, he was promoted to Reader in Radiology, adjunct Professor in 2013 and conferred Professor of Practice in 2017.
Adrian is head of ultrasound at Charing Cross Hospital, London and specialist areas include advancing technologies of ultrasound and use of novel techniques in functionally assessing disease processes with particular respect to breast, oncological and musculoskeletal imaging.

He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and is an editor of the Ultrasound International Open Journal and associate editor of Ultrasound Medicine and Biology, Clinical Radiology and Ultrasound journals. He is President-Elect of the British Medical Ultrasound Society and past-Executive Board member of EFSUMB.

Chris Harvey

Chris Harvey qualified in medicine from Charing Cross and Westminster Hospital Medical School, London, UK having obtained an intercalated BSc in Physiology.
He trained in medicine and obtained MRCP. He then trained in radiology at The Middlesex/UCL and Hammersmith Hospitals, London before becoming MRC research fellow at Hammersmith Hospital.
He has been a consultant and honorary senior lecturer at Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College since 2001 as well as head of ultrasound and chief of service.

He has published over 50 peer reviewed papers, three books and several chapters on a wide spectrum of radiological subjects. He has delivered many invited lectures to conferences as well as teaching undergraduates, postgraduates and radiographers.
He has held several national and international editorial positions. He was an examiner for FRCR 2B.

Gianfranco Di Vanna

Gianfranco has over 20 years’ experience with SonoVue in the field. He started as an Application Specialist and has developed experience as a contrast expert and trainer in many countries around Europe, Asia and LATAM.

He is specialised in contrast ultrasound settings and has collaborated as a trainer for several ultrasound manufacturers.

He is actually full time in the field in many countries, giving CEUS support to customers on Contrast usage, image optimisation and system settings.

João Carreira

João Carreira is a Senior Clinical Vascular Scientist at Manchester Academic Vascular Research and Innovation Centre and leads a team of vascular scientists as Research Manager for IVS Ltd. For both roles he is based in the UKAS accredited laboratory run by IVS at Manchester University NHS FT .

Over the last 7 years, Joao has been part of a research team with special focus in the development of 3D and contrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging whom have published numerous works that have been recognised by NICE.

Martin Krix

Martin Krix is currently a Medical Leader for X-Ray and Ultrasound for Europe and Asia at Bracco Global Medical and Regulatory Affairs.

After graduating in Physics and Medicine at the University of Bonn, Germany, he finished his specialization in Radiology at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg, Germany, followed by a post-doctoral thesis on contrast-enhanced ultrasound and a Professorship at the University of Heidelberg.
